Chief Executive Officer, Director
Thomas Lambalot is our Chief Executive Officer and was appointed to the position of Director on our Board of Directors in July 2018. From 2006 to March 2012, Mr. Lambalot was Chief Commercial Officer at Paratek Microwave, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of Tunable RFFE solutions for smartphones. Paratek was acquired by BlackBerry RF, Inc. (a subsidiary of Research in Motion/Blackberry Limited) in March 2012. From September 2002 to June 2005, Mr Lambalot was President & Chief Executive Officer of SmartLink Radio Networks, a recognized thought leader and major provider of IP based Public Safety Communication Networks. From October 2000 to August 2002, Mr. Lambalot was named Chief Executive Officer of Envoy Networks, a leader in 3G Wireless Equipment Technology. The company was acquired by Texas Instruments Inc. in February 2002. From July 1995 to January 2000, Mr. Lambalot was the President & Chief Executive Officer of Filtronic Comtek Inc. the recognized leader in RF Sub-Systems to major global suppliers of telecommunications equipment. Mr. Lambalot received his BSc. in Electrical Engineering Technology, with a specialization in Microwave and Communication Theory, from University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth in 1985 and received his MBA from Boston University in 1994.
David J. McIntosh
Founder, Chief Technical Officer, Director
David J. McIntosh is company founder, Chief Technical Officer and a member of the Company's Board of Directors. Throughout his career, Dr. McIntosh has held executive-level leadership roles in wireless infrastructure and defense companies. From August 1989 to April 1998, Dr. McIntosh was employed by Filtronic plc, initially with Filcom Microwave Inc. and as a Vice President for Filtronic Comtek, a major supplier of telecommunications equipment. Dr. McIntosh moved to Filtronic Sage Labs in 1998 and from June 1998 until October 2006, he was the company's Chief Executive Officer of Filtronic Sage Labs. Dr. McIntosh founded the Spectrum Management Group of Integrated Defense Systems, Inc. (IDSI) in October 2006. IDSI was a Power Amplifier subsystem development company that was ultimately acquired by General Dynamics Corporation (General Dynamics) in 2008. Following IDSI's acquisition by General Dynamics, Dr. McIntosh worked at General Dynamics from 2008 until April 2011. During this period, Dr. McIntosh was the divisional Chief Technology Officer. Dr. McIntosh holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Microwave Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland. As a technologist and senior executive, Dr. McIntosh has extensive knowledge and experience in all aspects of the development and manufacture of wireless communications equipment for the defense and commercial infrastructure markets.
Vice President Business Development and Strategy
Chris Rauh has over 25 years experience in the wireless industry. His work has spanned the commercial and defense markets in both client and infrastructure equipment areas.. Chris has developed business for chips and systems leveraging a broad range of technologies including baseband and mixed signal analog silicon, Gallium Nitride (GaN) Power and RF devices, power management devices and embedded software and systems. In addition to running the sales organizations, Chris developed the technical and business value propositions for a wide range of target markets. At TI, he was able to create two unique businesses that would grow to greater than $500M in annual sales. With the two start-ups prior to NewEdge, he was able to create multi-year double digit growth in bookings and design wins. Chris brought to NewEdge the unique perspective of direct knowledge of RF Devices, Envelope Tracking Modulators and Digital Pre-Distortion technologies that formed a large piece of the NewEdge vision.Prior to NewEdge, he held a range of senior management positions at Nitronex (VP Sales & Marketing), Nujira (Director of US Business Development) and Texas Instruments (Co-Founder Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit & Global Account Manager). Mr. Rauh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
General Manager, EMEA
Torbjorn Folkebrant brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and contacts throughout the worldwide wireless telecommunications industry to NewEdge Signal Solutions. Throughout his career, he has built a successful RF amplifier and energy systems organization in the United States, and has nearly 25 years of industry experience in growing profitable business operations worldwide.
Folkebrant most recently served as CEO of Cresta Technology Corporation, a provider of programmable hardware and software technologies to the communications industry. He has also held senior management roles at Ericsson's microelectronics division in both Europe and the United States, with positions including CEO and president of Ericsson France SAS. Prior positions include vice president of business development and strategic program management at Paratek Microwave, Inc., president and executive chairman of Fractus SA, director of ISCO International, Inc. and director of Tessera Technologies. Folkebrant holds a M.Sc in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linkoping Institute of Technology in Sweden.
General Manager, APAC
Dan Cho has more than two decades of experience in serving the Asia Pacific region. He started his career as the senior global DSL sales manager for the Western, North and Central America and Asia Pacific regions at 3Com Corporation, where he consistently achieved 200% over sales quota. Since then, he has gone on to fulfill integral roles and shape business development strategies for numerous companies, including ArrayComm Inc. (acquired by Yogi Group) as vice president of technology licensing for Asia Pacific; Immersion Corporation (IMMR) as vice president of Asia Pacific; and Tarana Wireless, where he launched Tarana's wireless backhaul solution to mobile operators and enterprises in the APAC region.
Cho also served as managing director, Asia Pacific for service provider business, at Intel Corporation, where he managed the APJ region and developed pivotal relationships with telcos, ISPs and government policy and regulation groups. Most recently prior to joining NewEdge, Cho was chairman and co-founder of InnoSpark Inc. (acquired by PUBG Corp, Blue Hole Company), which operated from the U.S., China and Korea
VP of Engineering, Commercial Infrastructure
Bill Vassilakis is a seasoned technology executive with over 25 years' experience leading world class R&D teams in the creation of advanced products and technologies for RF, microwave and commercial wireless communication systems. He has a proven track record of IP creation, and successful introduction of new technology to profitable high-volume manufacturing.
Prior to joining NewEdge, he was Sr. Vice President of Research and Product Development for Powerwave technologies.
There, he was the leader of a multi-national team of over 500 professionals that developed cutting-edge wireless subsystem technologies for amplifiers, antennas, tower mounted amplifiers, filters and advanced coverage and capacity solutions, which enabled Powerwave to become one of the world's leading independent providers of wireless infrastructure products. Under his leadership, the international Patent portfolio of Powerwave grew to over 500 developed and acquired patents over 13 years
Managing Director, NewEdge Signal Solutions UK Ltd.
Andrew has over 28 years' experience of senior management, project and product delivery experience in a variety of high tech companies. These have ranged from technical consultancy with PA Consulting Group, through design, development and production of both low volume high value laboratory equipment at both UbiNetics and Nujira, and high volume consumer electronics with Philips. Andrew has worked with global teams in the UK, Europe, USA, India and China.
Before joining NewEdge, Andrew was VP Product Development and then VP Operations at Nujira Ltd.
Andrew has significant experience in company development and the transition from the early company start-up phase through the evolutionary changes necessary for the move into maturity. Andrew understands the challenges of managing cash versus scaling. He has worked closely with all areas within these businesses and so has a wide ranging understanding of how organisations operate to address the issues that arise in a growing organisation.
Andrew holds a Ph.D. and BSc in Physics from Imperial College, London.
